A Spatio-temporal Stochastic Model for an Emerging Plant Disease Spread in a Heterogeneous Landscape

نویسندگان

چکیده

Black Leaf Streak Disease (BLSD) is the most severe foliar disease of banana and plantain. BLSD caused by Pseudocercospora fijiensis, an ascomycete fungus which produces wind-borne spores responsible for its spatial dispersal. In order to evaluate long-distance dispersal better understand effect environmental factors on invasive spread, a spatio-temporal study was set up during recent invasion in Martinique island (FWI). detection carried out from September2010 May 2012 sampling squares were defined regular grid built over island. this paper, we consider stochastic model propagation heterogeneous landscape present mathematical computational results continuous-time model. Statistical inference parameters presence-absence data using Bayesian framework based augmentation method with respect square first colonization times. Parameter posterior distribution calculations made possible evaluation land-cover influence propagation. Our enabled re-enactment invasion.

Proposing A stochastic model for spread of corona virus dynamics in Nigeria

The emergence of corona virus (COVID-19) has create a great public concern as the outbreak is still ongoing and government are taking actions such as holiday extension, travel restriction, temporary closure of public work place, borders, schools, quarantine/isolation, social distancing and so on. To mitigate the spread, we proposed and analyzed a stochastic model for the continue spread of coro...

Predicting Argentine ant spread over the heterogeneous landscape using a spatially explicit stochastic model.

The characteristics of spread for an invasive species should influence how environmental authorities or government agencies respond to an initial incursion. High-resolution predictions of how, where, and the speed at which a newly established invasive population will spread across the surrounding heterogeneous landscape can greatly assist appropriate and timely risk assessments and control deci...

AN ADDITIVE MODEL FOR SPATIO-TEMPORAL SMOOTHING OF CANCER MORTALITY RATES

In this paper, a Bayesian hierarchical model is used to anaylze the female breast cancer mortality rates for the State of Missouri from 1969 through 2001. The logit transformations of the mortality rates are assumed to be linear over the time with additive spatial and age effects as intercepts and slopes. Objective priors of the hierarchical model are explored. The Bayesian estimates are quite ...

A dynamic lattice model for heterogeneous materials

In this paper, the mechanical behavior of three-phase inhomogeneous materials is modeled using the meso-scale model with lattice beams for static and dynamic analyses. The Timoshenko beam theory is applied instead of the classical Euler-Bernoulli beam theory and the mechanical properties of lattice beam connection are derived based on the continuum medium using the non-local continuum theory. T...
